Serene Sun, CFA, CPA, is the managing director, head of business development, Asia ex-Japan for RBC BlueBay Asset Management and chief executive officer for RBC Global Asset Management (Asia) Limited. Serene Sun serves as a board of director for RBC Global Asset Management (Asia) Limited. In her leadership capacity, she is responsible for strategic business development and client coverage across the Asia ex-Japan markets. Her portfolio includes managing relationships with institutional investors and wealth distribution channels, while spearheading strategic initiatives and partnerships that support RBC BlueBay's regional expansion and market presence in Asia and maintain our collaborative culture. She combines her board-level governance responsibilities with hands-on client relationship management to drive business growth in the region.

Prior to joining RBC BlueBay Asset Management in 2021, Serene held client relationship management positions at BlackRock in Singapore and Hong Kong, where she was responsible for managing strategic relationships across the key Asia markets. Before transitioning to asset management, Serene built her financial market experiences in capital markets at BNP Paribas in Singapore, where she developed expertise in capital markets and client advisory services.
