Why Securitized Credit, and why now?

One of fixed income’s most dynamic sectors

Backed by real, diversified assets, securitized credit offers the potential for attractive yield pick-up versus similarly rated assets, a hedge against rising rates through floating-rate exposure, and with structural protection built into the design.

What is securitized credit?

Securitized credit represents a USD5 trillion market comprised of bonds backed by diverse assets such as mortgages, auto loans, credit card debt or corporate loans. A lender pools these assets into a special purpose vehicle that issues bonds where the coupon and principal payments are funded by the underlying borrowers’ principal and interest payments.
